Park(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event, which occurs every third Friday of September, where citizens, artists, and activists collaborate to temporarily transform parking spaces into “parklets” (temporary public places).

The aim of Park(ing) Day Orlando is to create a conversation about our growing neighborhoods and districts and ask the question, “How are these places building community?”.

This year Parking Day Orlando is partnering with College Park Main Street to host a parklet crawl. The event will demonstrate how parklets can extend public space and increase revenue of nearby businesses, leading to a more active community.
